After 17 sold-out performances in 2020, Stone Fence Theatre has published a DVD featuring the original cast in a live performance of its hit show, Up at Fred's - Allons-y!, which was written by Ish Theilheimer and directed by Chantal Elie-Sernoskie. The video was shot by Pembroke videographer Shawn Behnke and his ComBEtek crew and produced by Stone Fence Theatre's technical director, Terry Mask of Barry's Bay.
The video brings back the fun and great memories of Fred Meilleur, his famous hotel in Chapeau, Quebec, and the happy crowds of people from all walks of life who kept the place full of fun and music. The DVD includes 15 songs: St. Patrick's Day at Fred Meilleurs, Where I'm From, Civil Functionary, The Biggest Heart in the Pontiac, Up at Fred's, Nothing Ever Changes, Sleep It Off, The Wild West Along the Ottawa, Bar-Hopping Up the Shore in the Pontiac, I'm the Law in this part of Chapeau, You Never Leave Anyone Stranded, The Shamrock and the Fleur de Lis, That Man He Buttered Your Bread, and Fred's Hotel.
It also includes most-remembered memories of the gold old days, including dealing with liquor inspectors, the jar full of watches, the famous Jesus Christ scene, Father Harrington, Rollie Meilleur, and, of course, the Silver Beaver.
The price of the DVD is $25, including tax and shipping (in Canada) or FREE with your charitable donation of $100 or more.
